The Durango Education Foundation is hosting a spooky event called "Spirits with the Specters" to raise money for public schools. The event will take place on Saturday, October 21st, and will include a tour of haunted underground spots in Durango, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and prize drawings. Tickets are $150 each, and all proceeds will go to the Durango Education Foundation.
The event is being sponsored by a number of local businesses, including the Strater Hotel, Horsefly History Tours, El Morrows, Second Avenue Sports, and Wells Fargo.
The Durango Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the Durango 9-R School District in three ways: through grants to teachers and schools, scholarships for graduating seniors, and service events.
In addition to attending the "Spirits with the Specters" event, there are other ways to support the Durango Education Foundation, such as making a donation on their website or volunteering your time.
