Patrick Sharp is leaving Mercy Hospital as it’s Chief Executive Officer.
According to a news release from Centura Health, Sharp will be taking on a new role as CEO for Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest.
In Sharp’s nearly 2 years with Mercy, he has been challenged with the covid-19 pandemic and staffing and administration challenges.
The news release states that Sharp worked on access to quality care for the Four Corners region through community partnerships, provider recruitment, and expanded medical services and physician alignment via an ambulatory surgery center which is set to break ground this fall. Sharp's departure adds to a growing number of administrative openings at the hospital.
Centura Health says they are hoping to announce Sharp’s replacement in the coming weeks.
